Northern Belle Cosplay - "Rogue"
Rogue has been a performer ever since she can remember. Dabbling in various venues of performance she spends her summers working on Toronto harbour and the school year learning American Sign Lange. In her spare time she works on her cosplay, combat and any other performance pieces that come her way.
After graduating from not only a performing arts high school, Rogue pursued a Theatre Specialist degree at the University of Toronto, and also obtained an English minor. During this time she also began her stage combatant training through Rapier Wit and FDC. Once graduated she took off for Europe and traveled for months before returning to Toronto. Upon her return she began the one-year American Sign Language and Deaf Studies Program at George Brown College and now having finished that, has been accepted in to the extremely competitive ASL-English Interpreter program.
Interested in comics from infancy Rogue has only started actively cosplaying within the con community since 2009. On January 1, 2013 donning her namesake character along with fellow cosplayer Mat Russell as Logan the two officially began the X-Men of Toronto, a non-profit organization that aims to promote cosplay, Toronto based events, help charities and be positive role models for children and the cosplay community at large.
In what spare time she has left Rogue can either be found at Toronto’s harbor working on one of several ships as First Mate, volunteering at the Deaf Culture Centre, hiding out in her balcony garden that would put most green houses to shame or snuggling with her three black kitties!
